Was today's stacked game messed up for anyone else?

Not sure however if course I lost haha

Dr House of course.

I love Dr House, no way is he any type of villain, he's a bit odd, is all. In my opinion

@cee-cee hes an anti-hero because hes sometimes really rude + also is on drugs while treating patients but i agree he does amazing work somehow despite it!

Xaden from The Empyrean series.

Loki

Jaime Lannister

Everyone seems confused, so I'll clear things up. An "antihero" is characterized by the inversion, opposition, and/or absence of some *integral* traits and/or roles of the standard heroic archetype. (A character with *no* heroic traits is just a regular non-hero.)

Similarly, a hero that lacks only non-integral traits is just a standard hero with some character quirks. Note that the list of eligible qualities will vary depending on what "standard heroic archetype" you're using.

The concept may be understood as the battlecruiser of literary analysis: defined primarily by reference to categories that it does not occupy, with a lot of room for variation.

The Count of Monte Cristo! High-class dining, and he was written by Dumas so you know the conversation would be fascinating. Also, he never eats in the presence of his enemies, so I'd be safe.

Loki or deadpool

Either Loki, so we could spend the day pranking folks, or Frank Castle (The Punisher) so we could spend the day cappinβ punks!
Kelsier (or Hoid)

Antiheroes may do right things for wrong reasons or vice-versa. Lestat kills sadistically, but only evildoers. Han Solo has no guiding moral code, but makes right choices in the moment. Even Vader's character arc begins and ends on the right side.

Read _A Confederacy of Dunces_ to see EVERY kind of antihero in one place: intentional, accidental, main character, soul-change, redemptive, it's a master class in literary antihero styles.
Thanks for playing! Probably Dexter Morgan or Lestat (though the latter might have ME for dinner).

Dr Lecter, I would say, however, wouldn't he be a villain? Ugg so confused. Lastly, it seems Pickle got a lot easier than the first two. The key to it is if you're interested make sure all the pictures are facing the right way and go from there it's not that difficult from there

I have no problem rotating pieces theoretically in mental 3D or visualizing the picture, it's the sequencing I can't get. I don't even bother trying anymore, I just hate it because it's an exercise in futility for me.

Honestly, I was thrown off when it said Dexter was an antihero I thought he was an all-out villain

As a killer he is a villain. What makes him anti-hero is his moral crusade to only kill evildoers. Lestat the vampire has the same convictions and is also an antihero.

Ignatius J. Reilly. And, F'Q your PICKLE.

Vigilante. That guy seems fun

giorno giovanna, easily

Some of the characters in the games today were not antiheroes by any definition

Agree 100%
Walter White and Tony Soprano are just villains.

also, please stop using Pickle
Please don't.

I like Pickle. I do wish there was a hint of the complete picture. I will spend a coin or two to see it when I get stuck.

Tyrion Lannister

Deadpool would be a dinner of a lifetime, probably more realistically than Jay-Z tbh haha

jayz would just say you shouldve taken the $500k!

Hannibal Lecter -- because -- haute cuisine! π

Kai Azer. 100%

Ok I donβt really understand what an antihero is, but Iβm going with Severus Snape and Draco Malfoy.
Antiheros are people who try to do the right thing but have questionable methods/morales. Snape is a good antihero!

Wow way better than Mr. Leonbergerβs explanation of it haha thank you

Snape fits antihero, Draco does not.

It's the literary version of "battlecruiser": defined mainly by what it isn't, with lots of variation and argument over what variations count.

Come on! If you think Walter White is not a villain, you've got a real problem. He never regrets about doing what he did, and dragged his own family to disgrace. Despite being a victim of a cruel health policy in USA, he's not a 1% hero.

yes this has got me thinking of the line bc even wikipedia considers hannibal lector to be one! like if any time an evil person does something ok theyre an anti-hero, is anyone a villain? bc everyone is nice sometimes!

I donβt know if heβs so much a villain because intentions matter. Yes heβs doing something bad, making/distributing drugs is not good, BUT heβs doing it all for his family because he knows heβs dying.
He is by definition classic anti-hero

Typically, the anti-hero will embody an opposite. Dexter Morgan does "right/good" things, but for "wrong/bad" reasons -- and Walter White does bad things for the "right reasons.

ive never seen the show, but afaik he kills multiple people? i dont think selling illegal items to pay medical bills is inherently evil but he seems to also do many bad things on top of that that makes him a villain (from what i know!)

Deadpool, funniest anti-hero ever
Harley Quinn.

Loki, no question
Some marvel

Beatrix Kiddo
Daredevil

Tony Soprano was always eating well. π
